The
Linux CD that comes with this manual is a bootable Linux file system
based on the Slackware Distribution, version 8.0. Since the CD can
only hold maximum of 700MB, all the manpages (manuals and other
documentations) are not included. In fact, even the command man
is not available. This Linux CD is only meant to be a teaching (or
demonstration) aid; the user is advised not to use this file system
for serious work. Interested users are better off using a full Linux
file system on a hard drive, as it does not have the limitations
of a CD.
